About BMW toy cars and diecast scale models
Two generations of M car bookend this collection. The 1988 E30 M3 in 1:18 is the box-flared original with the correct BBS-style wheels, and the current M4 G82 in 1:24 has the big grille whether you like it or not. The XM in 1:18 is the largest BMW here and the one with the most opening parts.
Two generations of M
The 1988 M3 E30 and the M4 G82 are separated by thirty-five years and a great deal of argument about grilles. The E30 in 1:18 has the box-flared arches, the tall rear wing and the cross-spoke wheels, and its interior has the sport seats in a different texture from the dash. The M4 in 1:24 has the large vertical kidney grille moulded as a separate part, which it needs to be, and the carbon roof picked out in black. Buy the one whose era you belong to.
The XM and the i8
The XM in 1:18 is the largest BMW model we sell and the one with the most opening parts, including a rear door that shows off the lounge-style back seat. The i8, when in stock, is the one with the butterfly doors, which open up and out on the model as they did on the car. Both are unusual subjects and neither is made in large quantities.
