About Ferrari toy cars and diecast scale models
Ferrari's road cars are covered by the LaFerrari and the SF90 in 1:24, both with opening doors and the correct Rosso paint. The racing side is Bburago's licensed 1:43 SF-24 in Charles Leclerc's number 16, and for something bigger, the Rastar F1-75 remote control car in 1:18.
Road and race
The road cars in this collection are the LaFerrari and the SF90, both in 1:24 with opening doors and engine covers and both in Rosso Corsa. The LaFerrari's rear, with its active spoiler and the exposed V12 under glass, is the more interesting of the two on a model. The SF90 is here in a Marlboro-style race livery as well as in red.
The racing side is where licensing comes in. Charles Leclerc's SF-24 is an officially licensed Bburago 1:43, with the correct 2024 sponsor set and Leclerc's helmet colours under the Halo. For a Ferrari that moves, the Rastar F1-75 remote control car in 1:18 is licensed by Ferrari and comes with a display stand.
Getting the red right
Rosso Corsa is a warm red and it needs a warm undercoat to read correctly; sprayed over grey primer it goes orange, and a lot of cheap Ferrari models do exactly that. The models here are sprayed over a red-tinted primer, and in daylight they match the colour on the real car. If a Ferrari model you have seen elsewhere looks orange in photographs, that is why.
