About the McLaren MCL36 1:18 Rastar
The MCL36 was McLaren's first car under the 2022 ground-effect rules and the one Lando Norris put on the podium at Imola. Rastar builds it under McLaren's licence, so the papaya-and-blue livery, the Google and Dell sponsor marks and the swept sidepods are the team's own. At about 31 cm it is a substantial car and the papaya makes it the brightest thing in the room.
A 2.4 GHz proportional radio with a trigger throttle drives it forward, backward, left and right. The box has the car, the controller, a manual and a sticker sheet; AA cells for both are not included.
It pairs with the Red Bull RB18 in the same range for a two-car race, and it suits a McLaren fan of any age from eight up.
Living with a 1:18 RC car
At 1:18 this is a large model, roughly a ruler's length, and it is built as a display piece rather than a toy. Expect metal body panels with proper hinges, a carpeted or textured floor inside, and a finished engine bay under the bonnet. Give it about 30 cm of shelf width and lift it by the roof or chassis, not the bumpers.
