About the McLaren Senna 1:24
The Senna is McLaren's least pretty and most effective car: everything on the body is there to make downforce, from the front aero blades to the rear wing that stands on two swan-neck struts and moves as you drive. The model gets the wing right as a separate part on its own mounts, and it keeps the Senna's odd signature, the clear lower panels in the doors that let you see the road.
The doors open up and out on dihedral hinges. The front and rear covers lift. Lights and the engine sample work from a button, and the rear axle carries a pull-back motor. The body is metal with the rear diffuser and the intakes in black; paint on this batch is a bright McLaren colour.
It is the model for someone who follows Formula 1 and knows why the name matters, and it pairs with the 720S in the same scale as the road car it grew from.
Living with a 1:24 scale model
