About the Bugatti La Voiture Noire 1:24
Only one La Voiture Noire exists, sold for around €11 million as a tribute to the lost Type 57SC Atlantic, and it has never been to India. The model brings the shape down to 20 cm: the extended rear deck, the dorsal seam that runs from windscreen to tail, the full-width tail light and, at the back, the six exhaust tips arranged in a row that are the car's signature.
The doors open, the front and rear covers lift, and opening the doors triggers the lights and the engine sample. The rear axle has a pull-back motor. The body is metal in gloss black with the carbon-look areas in satin, and the horseshoe grille is a chromed insert.
It is the odd Bugatti on the shelf and the one people ask about, which is a good reason to own it. The Chiron is the car it is based on if you want them together.
Living with a 1:24 scale model
At 1:24 the model is around 19 cm long, compact enough for a desk and big enough for the doors to open and the dashboard to be readable. This is the scale to buy if you want a few cars rather than one, and the pull-back motor and lights make it the safest choice for a young enthusiast.
