About Nissan toy cars and diecast scale models
The R34 Skyline GT-R is the most requested model on the site. It is here as a 1:18 in Midnight Purple, as a 1:24 in the Fast and Furious blue and silver, and its successor the R35 is here in 1:18 as a wide-body build. All have opening doors; the 1:18 cars add an opening bonnet with the RB26 and VR38 engines modelled.
The R34, three ways
The R34 Skyline GT-R is the most requested model on this site, and we keep it in three forms. The 1:18 is Midnight Purple, the factory colour, with an opening bonnet that shows the RB26 straight-six and its strut brace, opening doors and a detailed rear with the four round tail lights lit. The 1:24 is the 2 Fast 2 Furious car in blue and silver with the film's livery. And the R35, the R34's successor, is in 1:18 as a Schafer-style wide-body with the VR38 modelled under the bonnet.
What to check on a GT-R model
The tail lights. Four round lamps in two pairs is the GT-R signature and a model that prints them flat has failed. On the models here the lamps are clear red lenses with silvered housings. The wheels on the R34 should be the five-spoke forged style, and the rear wing should be a separate part standing on two uprights, not moulded to the boot lid. The interior should be right-hand drive.
